Syntheo Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-07-20
Provider: Quadropic Pvt Ltd ("Quadropic," "we," "us," or "our")
This Privacy Policy explains how Syntheo handles information when you use its desktop application, companion application, documentation, updates, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). It should be read with the Terms of Service and any applicable commercial agreement.
1. Scope#
This policy covers information handled by the Service. It does not govern third-party AI providers, model endpoints, MCP servers, websites, source-control services, or other services that you select or configure. Those services have their own privacy terms and practices.
2. Information the Service can handle#
Depending on how you use and configure Syntheo, the Service may handle:
- Workspace and task data: project paths, file names and contents, code, diffs, Git information, terminal input and output, task history, prompts, messages, images, and generated output.
- Credentials and configuration: provider API keys or OAuth tokens, custom endpoint settings, tool permissions, integration settings, and local preferences.
- Device and operational data: application version, operating-system and device details, update-channel information, local logs, and diagnostic data needed to operate the app.
- Companion and relay data: device-pairing materials, encrypted request and event payloads, and connection metadata when the optional companion or relay is used.
The information involved depends on the features you use, the permissions you grant, and the content you provide.
3. How information is used#
Syntheo uses information to provide and secure the Service, including to:
- run tasks, display task history, and operate local workspace tools;
- authenticate with a provider or integration you choose;
- send requests to selected AI providers or custom model endpoints;
- execute approved tools, such as terminal commands, browser actions, web search, MCP calls, and Git operations;
- maintain local settings, permissions, and device pairings; and
- check for and deliver application updates.
4. Where information is processed and disclosed#
Syntheo is designed to work directly with the providers and tools you choose. It does not make Syntheo a proxy for those services. When you use a connected feature, information may be sent to the relevant recipient:
| Feature | Information that may be disclosed |
|---|---|
| AI provider or custom model endpoint | Prompts, conversation context, attachments, selected workspace content, tool output, model settings, and request metadata needed to process the request. |
| Web search, web fetch, or browser | Search terms, requested URLs, page interactions, and ordinary network or browser metadata. |
| Remote MCP server | Tool-discovery requests and the tool name and arguments you or an agent submit. |
| Local MCP server, skill, language server, Git hook, or other executable | Configured arguments and environment, plus any information made available by the tool; it may perform its own network activity. |
| Application updates | The update channel or artifact requested and ordinary request metadata. |
| Companion relay | Encrypted application payloads and ordinary connection metadata. |
Use caution when approving tools or sending content: a tool invocation can expose the content included in its arguments or output to the selected third party. Third parties may retain or use information under their own policies.
5. Telemetry and diagnostics#
Syntheo uses telemetry to improve the Service. Telemetry may include application version, operating-system and device details, update-channel information, local logs, and diagnostic data needed to operate the app. Telemetry is not linked to your identity or workspace content. However, in the near future, you may be able to opt in to share additional information to help improve the Service. We will provide clear notice and controls before any such telemetry is collected.
6. Data storage and retention#
Syntheo safely uses local storage for workspace and task data, configuration, and logs. The Service does not automatically upload or retain your workspace content.
We are planning to introduce optional / voluntary log Uploads to help improve the Service. If you opt in, logs may be sent to Quadropic for Model training. Uploaded logs will be retained only as long as necessary to support the Service and improve its quality.
Third-party recipients retain information under their own policies. Check the terms and privacy policy of every provider, endpoint, integration, relay, or website you use. We may retain information where necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or protect the Service and its users.
7. Your choices and controls#
You can control many disclosures by choosing which providers, endpoints, tools, workspaces, websites, and integrations to use. Before approving an action, review its requested permissions and arguments. You can remove an integration, revoke its credentials through the relevant provider, delete local Syntheo data, or uninstall the app. Revoking a credential does not delete information already received by a third party.
Because Syntheo can operate on local files and invoke external services at your direction, do not provide information that you are not authorized to process or disclose.
8. Security#
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information handled by the Service. No system or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your device, workspace, credentials, networks, and the third-party services you configure.
9. Children#
The Service is not directed to children. Do not use the Service or provide personal information through it if you are below the minimum age required to consent to data processing in your jurisdiction.
10. International processing#
The third parties you choose may process information in countries other than your own. You are responsible for evaluating whether those services and transfers are appropriate for your use case and legal obligations.
11. Changes to this policy#
We may update this policy as the Service or applicable requirements change. The updated policy is effective when posted or otherwise made available. Continued use of the Service after that date is subject to the updated policy.
12. Contact#
For questions about these Terms, contact Quadropic through the support support@quadropic.com or account channel provided with your commercial agreement.
