Settings and safety

Use Settings to choose how Syntheo works, what it may access, and which optional features are available to agents.

• Behaviour: response length, tone, and stable personal preferences.
• Workspace: pinning, Code Atlas, and thread housekeeping.
• Audio: completion, permission, and error sounds.
• Theme & Display: appearance and Privacy Veil.
• Scheduled Tasks: recurring prompts.
• Mobile Companion: paired phones and remote access.

A safe starting point#

1. Configure Standard with a provider and model.
2. Keep write, command, network, Git, and unfamiliar connected tools on Ask.
3. Add only Skills and tools you understand and need.
4. Keep global Behaviour instructions short and broadly applicable.
5. Revisit settings after a few real tasks instead of enabling everything at once.
